Artist Statement:
Within my practice, I am interested in the contemporary discourse of painting. I like to be situated on the boundary between abstraction and representation, creating a dialogue between the two. By employing a broad visual vocabulary as well as media, I create spaces and narratives that are suggestive of something recognizable; challenging what an abstract painting can and cannot do.annot do.
