National Art Gallery is organizing Summer Art Camp for children from June 8 here at Pakistan National Council of Arts, aimed at offering exciting opportunities for young minds to explore, experience and create themselves in productive manner.

Visual Director NAG, Mussarat Nahid Imam while talking to APP said draw, paint, sculpt, puppetry, sing, dance are included in the art camp that would be divided in two age groups from 5 to 11 and 12 to 15 years.

She said, “We take small groups for giving everyone plenty of assistance and help to improve their skills and teach many new techniques”.

Mussarrat said the objective of the art camp is to provide the children opportunity to develop their artistic skills and utilize their potential and hidden energies in healthy and fruitful activities.

She said whilst learning and developing creative techniques, the children are also taught how to develop their ideas and in doing so make their imaginations become a reality.

The children art camp will put strong emphasis on developing each child’s imagination, exploring and developing different creative techniques and how different materials & ingredients can be used in artistic manner, she added.

She said the art camp would be a great help to enhance the confidence of children by providing opportunities to discuss each other’s work and how to develop ideas. Summer Art Camp will continue till August 10.
