ISLAMABAD (APP): The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), in bid to revive the serious theatre in the country, stages the play “Ik Khab Sa Lagta Hai” at here its auditorium for the second day Sunday. The play, written by Bakht Yar Ahmed, which was also performed on Saturday, was aimed at educating audience on social issues, which mostly unnoticed, create problems for people in day to day life. Reno­wned artist M Qavi Khan led the play with Jawaria Qureshi, Salahuddin, Shama Adil and Asim Subhani, who conveyed the message to the general public through their excellent performances.
The play revolves around a well educated person, who is not only sensible but sensitive also. Despite these qualities, he is leading a lonely life and having failed two times in married life. With only five characters, the play captured the attention of audience as it highlighted a common social issue. Talking to APP, PNCA Director General Tauqeer Nasir said the Council endeavoured to make the Capital city a cultural face of the country with continuously organizing programmes of visual and performing arts.
