Lahore Arts Council (LAC) board of governors’ chairman Attaul Haq Qasmi says successive governments in Pakistan never realised the importance of fine arts.
At a convention titled ‘Artists and the World Today’ by the Artists Association of Punjab with the Pakistan National Council of Arts, Qasmi said on Monday whenever someone took any measure for the promotion of fine arts, the Finance Department raised objections making the measures a flop story.
He said the LAC had announced yearly awards in the fields of performing and fine arts.

Art show on legacy of Mughal Empire concludes in Jharoka Art Gallery

ISLAMABAD – The solo show of watercolors reviving legacy of Mughal Empire by artist and Architect Muhammad Shafiq will conclude here on January 30 at Jharoka Art Gallery. The exhibition of paintings was a visual presentation of the History of Mughal architecture, traditional heritage and eye-catching imagery.
The show entitled “Our Legacy” displayed a collection of 29 works that showed the artist’s background of an architect with painted historical buildings and fanticizing hues floating in the legacy of Mughal Empire.

The exhibition of calligraphic creations by the renowned artist and art teacher Arif Khan gathered a huge number of visitors at the Zee Grill, the art café, Gulberg, on Friday.

Exhibitions Conch Curve Creation works at National College of Arts
