The Bird of Time by Jamil Naqsh’s

An art exhibition titled The Bird of Time by renowned artist Jamil Naqsh was held at the Royal Palm, Country Club, on Friday. The event was organised by Tanzara Gallery, with Noshi Qadir as the exhibition’s curator. Jamil Naqsh, one of the country’s most renowned artists, was displaying his work in Lahore after a zspan of 20 years. Taking inspiration from artists like Marino Marini and Pablo Picasso, Naqsh’s artworks revolves around themes and images of women, doves and horses. Jamil Naqsh’s work to go on display at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club

Jamil Naqsh, one of Pakistan’s most renowned artists, is all set to display his work here on 11th and 12th of May at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club.
The exhibition titled “The Bird of Time” is organised by Tanzara Gallery curated by the gallery owner, Ms Noshi Qadir.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, Naqsh’s works are being displayed in the city after two decades.
For the past several decades Naqsh had been working on various artistic themes, but women, doves and horses are the ones he explored and reinvented in myriad new ways.

LAHORE art exhibition, Winds of Change’

LAHORE An art exhibition, ‘Winds of Change’, was held at the Alhamra Arts Complex on Friday, where artworks of students studying fine arts in the Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, were displayed for the audience to marvel at.
A total of 30 artists displayed over 60 pieces showing the use of several different art techniques; oil painting, miniature art, sculptures, textile work and printing art.

Kashmiri Art Festival opened at Rawalpindi Arts Council

Kashmiri art festival starts at Rawalpindi The Kashmiri Art Festival opened at the Rawalpindi Arts Council here on Monday.
The AJK minister for tourism inaugurated the festival. The work of ‘papier mache’, Kashmiri embroidery, Kashmiri shawls, frames and paintings of different artists were displayed at the festival. Art of ‘papier mache’ was transferred from Iran to Kashmir six hundred years ago and it flourished with full enthusiasm by the Kashmiri artisans. In ‘papier mache’ work, paper is moulded to give different shapes and decorated with various colours.
