Build 10 New Galleries in Lok Virsa

Ministry of National Heritage and Integration has decided to build 10 new galleries in National Heritage Museum, Lok Virsa, in March 2013 under a policy to highlight the culture of different parts of the country.

Talking to this agency, Director Lok Virsa Museum, Asif Javed Shahjahan, said that PC-I had been forwarded to the Ministry of National Heritage and Integration for the up-gradation of the museum. According to the plan, statues of labourers and skilled persons of the country would be placed in the galleries.

He said that effective policy is enhancing the recognition and honour of Pakistan in the world. He further said that the museum was set up in a way that it looked like a mini-Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that the heritage museum, constructed on 60,000 square feet area, is the only museum of its kind in the country.
