Three-day Photo Exhibition Amateur photographer’s worksA three-day photo exhibition, which concluded here the other day, displayed a rare collection of snaps by amateur photographer Ms Shehnaz Khalid, a housewife.

Ms Khalid through her photographs attempted to promote social values and inter-faith harmony among the beleaguered communities of Dera Ismail Khan.

The visitors from a cross section of society, including students, teachers and civil society members, thronged the Mufti Mahmood Memorial Library, where more than 200 photos were displayed to highlight the evolution of architectural, socio-economic and
religious aspects of life in the Dera region.

The exhibition was inaugurated by a local social activist, Ms Ahmad Hussain, while vice chancellor of Gomal University Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony.

Ms Shehnaz Khalid told media persons on the occasion that the photos contained the archeological sites of Dera region and ruins of early civilisations. She said a good number of women visitors took keen interest in the photographs.
