Photo Exhibition to Mark World Tourism Day 2014

Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Kabir Ahmed Khan Saturday inaugurated a photo exhibition in connection with the World Tourism Day (September 27). A large number of people from different walks of life, including students from private and public sector educational institutions, participated in the exhibition. Over 100 photographs depicting lofty mountain peaks, lakes and valleys, customs and cultural aspects and national heritage were put on display in the exhibition held at the Flashman’s Hotel, Rawalpindi. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Chaudhry Kabir said the PTDC Dosti Bus Service between Pakistan and India had been upgraded to provide a comfortable journey to the visitors. He said the initiative was taken on the instruction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who had allocated special funds for purchase of four new buses for the Lahore-Dehli Bus Service. Kabir hoped that with addition of new buses in the PTDC fleet, the tourism activities between the two countries would further increase.
