Karachi – Pakistan.
This year, Pakistan and Australia come together to create awareness of emotional well-being among youth through art and music at KB19 – Second Karachi Biennale.
KB19-GEMAH Workshop on Art and Emotional Well-being for young & creative leaders of tomorrow, for ages between 16 and 25 years.
The two day KB19-GEMAH Workshop will be held on November 1 to Nov 2, 2019 and will provide up to 60 emerging young artists with a curated collection of art workshops led by local artists alongside the delivery of Australian Giving Emotions Meaning through Arts and Health (GEMAH)’s educational programs of play-based learning and psychosocial support.
KB19 and GEMAH will focus on bringing youth and art together to address concerns of emotional wellbeing. Tools provided by GEMAH can help young leaders feel empowered to bring positive change in their community. GEMAH is a branch of GEM Connect Pty Ltd, an Australian organization founded by Ange Weinrabe to provide psychosocial support to young people aged 16-25.
Workshop will be conducted by a team of Pakistani and Australian experts. Certificates will be given after completion of full 2 days workshop.
This is a collaboration between the Karachi Biennale Trust and Australian social enterprise GEM CONNECT Pty Ltd, two organisations sharing a vision for unity, expression and youth empowerment through the medium of art. The vision is to deliver a meaningful and innovative Arts Program combined with an innovative health focus with KB19 in Karachi for the emerging young artists.
