An exhibition of paintings titled Harmony & Diversity opened here at the National Art Gallery (NAG) Tuesday displaying the artwork of the 23 contemporary artists.The work is out come of the Artists Residency Programme arranged by National Art Gallery of Pakistan National Council of the Arts at village Tumair a suburb of Islamabad. Artists from all over Pakistan were invited for the subject programme where they stayed from February 25 to March 5, 2013 and shared their experiences and ideas. The artists residency programme is aimed to put together different minds and provide opportunity specially the young’s to share, learn and meet the celebrities. It helps in broadening the vision. Forty art works in different mediums have beautifully reflected the contemporary trends in the field and artists vision about life and universe. Artists including Aamir Khan, Adil Hussain from Karachi, Ahmed Habib, Aqeel Solangi, Asad Ali Changazi from Lahore, Faisal Asghar from Lahore, Farrah Mehmood Rana, Ibn-e-Khalid, Jehanzeb Malik from Peshawar, Lubna Khatoon, Arshad from Lahore, Masood a Khan from Karachi, Mazhar Hameed from Quetta, Mehmood Ali, Muhammad Ali Bhatti from Sindh, Muhammad Umar, Mussarrat Nahid Imam, Sobia Rehman, Summaiya Khan, Syeda Hera Shakoor, Usman Haider, Zara Kazmi & Zeeshan. The exhibition will continue till March 14, 2013.
