The launching ceremony of translated version of Allam Iqbal’s famous book Zarb-e-Kaleem in Japanese language, by a renowned Professor Hiroji Kataoka, was held in Tokyo on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Press Counsellor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Soomro representing the embassy of Pakistan deeply appreciated Professor Katoka’s services, and said that the translation of ‘Kulliyat-e-Iqbal’ would go a long way in bringing the two great cultures of Asia closer and the bonds of friendship would be further strengthened.

He thanked Mohammad Zubair of the Urdu Literary Circle in Japan for holding this gathering which provided an opportunity to many Japanese to know about Pakistan and great Poet of the East.

Professor Kataoka is retired from Daito Bunka University, Tokyo. He had already translated two books of Allama Iqbal, namely; ‘Bang-e-Dara and Bal-e-Jibreel’.
